Disneyland

Well we finally did it. We went to Disneyland!
We didn't tell the kids we were going until the morning of our flight! Sofie was funny. I told her we had a surprise for her and asked her what she thought it was. First she asked if it was an iPhone. I said it was better than an iPhone and she got really excited and said "The whole entire dollar store!" Apparently she REALLY loves the dollar store. Then when we finally sat her and Luke down to tell them it was kind of anti-climatic. Sofie was excited but not over the top like I had imagined and Luke didn't even make a sound. Just sat there and stared. Maybe it the excitement just made him speechless. I tried to download the moment in video but it must have been too long because it wouldn't upload. Darn it.
The first day we were so lucky that Spencer's sister and her kids met us there! Disneyland with cousins is the best!
Luke and Kali- They could totally pass as twins
First Character encounter- Goofy! Sofie and Aubrey left their place in the ride line just to get this shot!
The first princess of many that we got to chat with. Somehow Rapunzel magically knew Sofie's name without her telling her. Sofie is still talking about that today! Brayden had to force a smile. He was not excited to be getting a picture with a princess!

A little festive family picture.
P-o-o-p-e-d!
It was fun to have all the characters in their Christmas attire.
Well we heard this princess was a hard one to track down so we feel lucky to have this as proof that we saw Belle!
This is where the princess infatuation all started, with this little beauty- Cinderella.
All the princess were sooo nice! They all called Sofie their "Friend". Rapunzel offered to take Sofie on a magic carpet ride if she ever found one and Ariel was so excited that one of the days Sofie had little mermaid on her shirt!
Goofy being goofy and signing the book on his nose.
ooooh
Whew- we found her. The princess she just had to see, Jasmine. We really had to hunt her down she was a tough cookie to find. Day one we saw here back side going into the cast room. Then the second day the same thing happened so we just camped our little selves outside the cast room until she showered herself! Things you do for your kids- right?
This was the usual response from Luke. Not near as excited as Sofie to see characters.
Buzz ride
Spencer talked Sofie into going on the star wars ride. Sofie was less than amused. I think it will be more exciting for Luke when he can go.
We went the first week of the Christmas decorations and we got to see them light the castle. Such a magical experience :)
Luke and Spencer on the train ride while Sofie and I waited in the Princess line.
Snow White. Well I feel like the trip was a success considering we hit up almost every princess except Tiana, Pocahontas and Mulan-
Sleeping Beauty
Silvermist- Tinkerbell's friend
Tinkerbell and Vidia. Sofie thought it might not be the real Tinkerbell because she "didn't look like the real one." I told her that she couldn't see the real Tinkerbell because real faries are to tiny.
Alice. Now here is a lady that can play the part. She was weird!
Sofie and her "Baby Jasmine" that she promised to always take care of. I have since found her forgotten all over the house.... and then Spencer couldn't resist getting Luke this little "Luke" Skywalker Mickey Mouse.
Buzz. The only way Luke would let us get a picture with a character was if we held him in it.
Jessie
/already taking after his dad. He's "checking the grill". I think he might be a braces candidate. What do you think :)
Cars
Back off Minnie, "He's taken!"
Work it girl
We stayed at the Howard Johnson and it was AWESOME! Not only was it super close to the park. It had a sweet little water park too!
After Disneyland we headed South to San Diego to spend some time with Kami, Spencer's sister.
While we were there we hit up Sea World! Lots of cool shows with the dolphins and whales!
"Cheese"
These were the only characters Luke was excited to see and they weren't even at Disneyland!
Sofie and her cousin's. Love this picture!
Two little heads poking out of the sand.
So this is why you are supposed to wear swim diapers hu?

And then the last day we were there Spencer's brother Daniel and his cute little family came and hung out with us and we ended the trip in the best way, girls trip with these awesome ladies to see Twighlight!
P.s. you might have seen my sister-in-law Kylie (in the white coat) before. Yep she was on the Ellen Degeneres show. Her and Daniel were given a Super nice car, and $6,000 of baby stuff! Yes this is a little claim to fame here!
